Lake County Personal Injury Law Firm Announces Spring 2023 Winner of the Law School Opportunity Scholarship

Salvi & Maher LLP is pleased to announce the winner of its Law School Opportunity Scholarship. Alexis Chandler has been awarded $1,000 to use for educational expenses as she furthers her legal education and pursues her goal of becoming an attorney. Alexis is the first student to be awarded this scholarship, as the program was established in late 2022. The Law School Opportunity Scholarship was designed to help students reach their full potential by making legal education more accessible.

Alexis has overcome significant personal obstacles in order to become the talented student she is today. Not only has Alexis consistently pursued her academic goals in the face of adversity, but she has gone on to become a mentor to younger students who are also facing obstacles. Her ultimate goal is to become a Supreme Court Justice.

The Law School Opportunity Scholarship is available to current law students and undergraduate students at accredited colleges who plan to attend law school after graduating. Applicants are asked to submit a video essay responding to the prompt, “What unique perspective will you bring to the legal field? How will this perspective help you to achieve your goals as a legal professional?” Applications for Fall 2023 are due by September 14, 2023.
